That may sound too simple, or be too good to be true, but hear me out. When most people think about advancing, they think about adding. When you add something to improve your life, more times than not, it needs to be a skill. If you need to get better in a certain area, spend your time learning a new skill to advance yourself in that area.

Now you’re probably asking yourself, but what do I need to subtract? Well, here’s the thing, subtraction comes in the form of forgiveness. Everything that’s “happened” to you in your life and all the things you hate have lessons attached to them. When you can subtract the emotion and see the lesson for what it is, you’ve now stepped past the trauma and can start using it as a tool to live your life more effectively.
